In the included book Porcupines, students will learn not what a porcupine looks like, with helpful arrows pointing to the various body parts of the porcupine, they also learn interesting facts about how porcupines move and what they do to protect themselves in the wild. As a school librarian I am constantly looking for resources that our early elementary teachers can use in the classroom to promote nonfiction print concepts with highly engaging content.
