Review
'The books in this series do a great job of explaining elements of technology to younger readers. With these topics, there are a lot of new vocabulary words. The books not only have glossaries to provide definitions of these words, but they also label the photos with the words so that readers can put a visual to the word. As a school library media specialist, I know first hand how important having visuals are for emerging readers. These books also do a good job explaining the elements of each of these things without getting too technical. Topics like computers and cell phones can be daunting for teachers to try and explain to young students but these books can help to ease those fears. Even though these books are recommended for children in grades 1-3, I even learned some new things myself. Did you know that cell towers can be built onto flag poles? I do now! I would recommend these books for any children who are interested in learning about how things work. They are very visually appealing but informative as well!', Jessica Mucci, School Library Media Specialist, Avon, New York School Districtt
