Review
'This 10 book series is written at an approximate 2nd grade level but would appeal to elementary students of all ages. The pages are filled with realistic, full color photographs of forest animals in their habitat. Each book chronicles the daily life and special adaptations of the animal, the foods they eat, and the type of home they live in. Extra charts and text boxes provide more information such as their conservation status and a map of their home range. In addition to the helpful index, glossary and table of contents, a “Factsurfer” website is provided as a link to further information. As a librarian, I especially like the attractive full color covers, quality hardcover bindings, and uniform concise size of the books. They line up neatly on the shelves and also in tubs for browsing. Highly recommended! Note – I was a little confused by the range maps as they often say that the animals are found around the world, but sometimes only show a range in 1 continent.', Cheryl Kellen, Librarian, Parkers Prairie Public Schools
