Review
'I am not sure a primary age elementary library can ever have enough nonfiction insect books for the students. This selection will grab the attention of the young ones simultaneously thrilling and grossing them out. The photos begin with wonderfully close shots of the common cricket and proceed to get better as each page turns. Information is short and to the point for the readers. I would add this to my collection of insect books for the little ones.', Cindy Anderson, Arlington School District,'Another in the Blastoff! Reader! Series, “Crickets” provides good information, diagrams, captions, and great images to assist a young reader in finding out all about these interesting little insects. Close up images allow readers to see all the details. The book also includes a nice “picture” glossary, as well as, additional titles to find at the library and more facts on the web. Your future entomologists will like this one.', Carrie Boden, Arlington (TX) ISD
