Review
'In this series, the reader learns about specific animal parts in each book. Wow! Each book is very interesting and shows photographs of a diversity of animals (a seahorse, a red-eyed tree frog, a gecko, sea scallops, an Arctic fox, etc.). The photographs are very detailed and show parts of animals that many people cannot always see in nature. The vocabulary in the books is perfect for the emergent reader. My 2nd grade students absolutely loved the photos within these books and wanted to read the entire series! These non-fiction books include numerous non-fiction text features to support the reader in understanding the important facts in the book. Some non-fiction text features included in each book are engaging photographs, a table of contents, labels, headings, bold-faced words, a picture glossary, and an index. The information within the book is interesting and engaging to all!!!', Charity Nadrozny, 2nd Grade Teacher, Illinois, Educator Review,'Animal Scales is part of the Amazing Animal Parts Level 1 Blastoff!
