Review
'The Encuéntralos en la Naturaleza series is an excellent introduction to the natural world for young Spanish-speaking readers. Each of the four titles in the series focuses on an aspect of nature or type of animal by using bright, clear photographs that immediately capture children’s attention. The text is carefully leveled, making it accessible for beginning readers while still providing informative and engaging content about the animals and nature featured. One of the strongest features of these books is how they encourage observation and exploration. Each page highlights defining characteristics of the animals or nature, such as feather patterns, body shapes, features, or distinctive markings, helping children learn to identify them in nature. Aves features different birds and their distinctive features, while Cacas de Animales focuses on the different excrement of animals that readers will find interesting and amusing. Hogares de Animales showcases unique animal homes from beavers to beehives, while Peces showcases many different species of fish (from tiny to large). Beyond the basics, the series offers valuable resources for educators and parents including photo labels, a picture glossary, and a quiz at the end of the book for the reader to match picture features to the featured topic. Overall, Encuéntralos en la Naturaleza is a visually appealing, educational series that fosters curiosity about wildlife and nature. Young learners will enjoy exploring the world around them while building essential reading and observation skills, making these books a wonderful addition to any home or classroom library.', Alana Jara, District Librarian, Clear Lake Community School District
