Various tasks performed by farm equipment are simply explained in these titles. A few short, clear sentences per spread accompany full-page photographs of the machines at work. Images show sprayers misting fields with water or balers compressing crops into round or square bundles. Modern devices, such as drones and UTVs, are shown along with the traditional tractors and plows. Onomatopoeic words, such as swish or plop, help readers imagine the sounds on the farm. Words in bold font within the text are defined in an illustrated glossary. Teaching tips in each book offer ways to engage and support readers. While BIPOC and female farmers appear in the images, most of the drivers present as white males. VERDICT: A useful addition to entice primary grade farm and vehicle enthusiasts.
