Position Overview
The Sales Operations Coordinator supports the execution of the company’s overall sales strategy in the school library, public library, and classroom markets. In addition to handling key marketing and communication tasks, they will build relationships with key library, digital and classroom distribution accounts and ensure all partners have the product information they need to maximize sales. The Sales Operations Coordinator will report to the Vice President of Revenue Operations and will work collaboratively with staff across all brands and various departments to support company-wide initiatives and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities
General:
- Ensure seasonal sales and marketing collateral are completed and distributed to the market by established deadlines
- Distribute eBooks seasonally to digital partners
- Manage day-to-day distributor requests and build effective working relationships with partners and reps
- In partnership with the Vice President, take initiative and drive execution of library, digital and classroom marketing and sales activities
Distributor sales support
- Responsible for loading new product info in content management software
- Owns and ensures distributors receive metadata and materials on time and as needed each season
- Manage seasonal sample and catalog shipments
- Generate monthly and quarterly sales reports for the sales leadership team
- Ensures product is correctly displayed on distribution partner websites each season
Direct sales support
- Assist sales managers with specified rep requests, including building collections for classroom customers
- Build relationships with independent representatives and assist sales managers/team with specified rep requests
- Order entry assistance, as needed
eBook distribution
- Creates sample and review accounts on eBook platform as requested
- Distributes seasonal eBook data and assets to eBook partners
- Audit existing partner platforms to ensure all our content is made available
- Pushes out corrections/updates to partners in a timely manner
Additional responsibilities
- Support VP and the broader sales team with projects, as necessary
- Travel to tradeshows or sales meeting, 1-2x a year
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, education, or a related field
- A self-starter problem-solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for education and literacy, with an understanding of the K-12 landscape
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Fiction Editor to join our team! This position reports to the Editorial Director.
Key Responsibilities
General:
- Perform substantive editing and leveling of manuscripts
- Review layouts and write compelling copy
- Collaborate with the book development team to bring projects to life in print and digital formats
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional children’s book editing experience, preferably in fiction
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in Mac OS and Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
- Familiarity with leveling systems like GRL and ATOS is a plus.
- Knowledge of school library and classroom markets and education requirements is desirable
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and eager to contribute to a fun, growing company
